Journeyman Upgrading

Journeyman upgrading to Red Seal - training for those members in the painting industry that have a number of years of experience in the trade, but do not have a journeyman's certificate. The training will include the various aspects of the trade in commercial, residential and industrial painting. The course is designed to give the technical knowledge required to successfully challenge the Alberta Apprenticeship Equivalency exam. It is recommended for those members with at least 10 years experience in the trade. This is a 5 day course and is offered as interest determines.

Industrial Coatings course - this course will provide training for those members who would like to increase their employability in the industrial sector. The course will include safety, surface preparation, coatings, spraying and inspection. This course is particularly helpful to those members who wish to work in the industrial sector such as the shops.
